NH courses opening this weekend?

45 degrees today, 58 degrees tomorrow and low 40's to follow...we must be getting close to the opener right? Man I hope so.

Our front yard in Portsmouth is snow free and our back yard is a couple patches away from being clear. Speaking of snow check out the snowfall for the season to date so far below:

This has been the most snow we have had since the winter of 2004/2005 and it being only March my fingers are crossed that we are done. This past weekend I teed it up with my buddy down at Presidents Golf Course in Quincy MA. Surprisingly the course was in great shape with all greens open. I recommend checking it out Presidents Golf, its a fun course and it looks like they just upgraded their website.

One classic hole is number 15. It is a dogleg to the right par 5 with an elevated tee box and water lining the entire right hand side of the hole. If you hit a good drive down the right hand side you can take a shot at the green with a 200+ carry over the water. The bailout to the left can be a deadly one with not a lot of room for error. I hit a drive into the marsh on the left hand side, took a drop and hit a good 3 wood just left of the green to finish happily with a tap in par.

In other news, the range over at Pease Golf Course, will be opening up this Friday so if you need to tune up your swing before the courses open you should stop by and hit a bucket. Good luck!!
